Inside LCCS: A Podcasting Project
2 June 2008
My work as a college faculty member requires me to teach–naturally. But since Lincoln is a small school, I’m sometimes able to pursue projects that fall outside typical faculty responsibilities. For the past couple months, I’ve been working to develop a podcasting project to help promote the school. It’s called Inside LCCS, "the insider’s guide to Lincoln Christian College and Seminary," and it launched today.
The show will feature interviews with faculty, staff, students, and alums, telling their stories and how Lincoln has helped shaped their lives. The first guest is Dr. J.K. Jones, a man whom I respect and admire as a teacher, friend, and mentor. Although the school posts the weekly chapel services to a "podcasting" site with a feed, this project is really the first attempt at "conversational" media. I’m excited to see what comes of it, from a new media perspective as well as a recruiting tool.
The site is Inside LCCS. Take a look and see what you think.

I just listened to the podcast. Nice Job. You had well-prepared and interesting questions and JK was pleasant and engaging to listen to. Can’t wait to hear who you interview next. Hey, I also noticed you got a comment from Mr. Pink himself.
Thanks, Amy. JK does a nice job; I think you’ll enjoy the next interview as well.
